Real speed. Three apps, one click, about two seconds.
Zap does one thing, and does it beautifully: it gets you back to a clean desktop.
Every regular app closes at once. Or just press ↩ when the menu is open.
Click an app's icon in Zap to protect it. Music keeps playing, your terminal stays put.
Zap quits apps exactly like ⌘Q. Unsaved documents still ask you to save. Nothing is force-killed.
Windows spiral into the button, a glass shockwave ripples out, a wisp of vapor fades away.
Finder, the Dock and system processes are never touched. Only your apps.
1 MB, lives in the menu bar. No account, no network calls, no special permissions.
You know the feeling: 23 apps open, the fan spinning, no idea where that one window went.
Shut it all down in one gesture and leave work at work.
No more private tabs or chats popping up during a call or a demo.
Start from zero, open only what you need. Focus comes back instantly.
Free up RAM and battery used by apps you forgot were running.
Three seconds, start to finish.
Zap lives up there, quietly.
Or press ↩. Locked apps are spared.
Everything is sucked in and closed. Clean desktop.
No VC, no subscription, no data collection. Just a small, well-made Mac utility.
🚀 Launch week — you'll be one of the very first users. Feedback goes straight to the developer.
Less than a coffee. Yours forever.

Zap is an indie app, not yet notarized by Apple (that costs $99/year — it's coming). macOS will show a warning the first time. Here's the 30-second fix:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Zap.appNo. Zap asks each app to quit the standard way, exactly like pressing ⌘Q. Apps with unsaved documents show their usual "Save changes?" dialog.
All regular apps (the ones in your Dock). Finder, the Dock, system services and Zap itself are never closed. You can also lock any app so it's always spared.
No. No Accessibility, no Automation, no Screen Recording. It doesn't connect to the internet either.
macOS 14 Sonoma and later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
App Store apps run in a sandbox that doesn't allow quitting other apps. So Zap is sold directly — which also keeps the price at €2.
Apple's notarization requires a paid developer account. Zap isn't notarized yet, so macOS asks you to confirm once (see "Installing Zap" above). The app contains no network code and no tracking.
Your confirmation page works for 30 days (5 downloads). If you lost it, email us with your Stripe receipt and we'll sort it out.
If Zap doesn't work on your Mac, write to us within 14 days and you'll be refunded.
